Product Story · Starter Apps · Launchpad
Custom Systems remain our bespoke offer. Launchpad gives small businesses a more defined starting point: an App Design Model, personalized design variations, and an agreed scope before production.
Since we started Daystar, one question has come up again and again, usually asked kindly and a little apologetically: "This is great, but what if I can't afford a custom system yet?"
It is a fair question. It is, honestly, the right one.
Our flagship work, custom systems built around how one specific business actually runs, starts at $3,500. Some independent owners need a more defined starting point: software based on an App Design Model, personalized for their business, with its own agreed scope.
So we are opening a second door.
Starter Apps · Launchpad starts with an App Design Model. You share your business details, and Daystar prepares two distinct design variations personalized for your business. You choose one, review the written scope and full price, and approve them before production.
The App Design Model helps define the starting scope. The application is personalized to the customer, and production begins only after the customer approves the scope and pays the agreed full price.
We would rather be clear than clever here, because a cheaper product that overpromises is the oldest trick in software.
Launchpad uses an App Design Model to define a more focused starting scope. The business-specific application, selected variation, included capabilities, and delivery terms are confirmed in writing. Bespoke Custom Systems are separately scoped for workflows, integrations, and architecture beyond that model.
The idea behind everything Daystar builds is simple: big-business technology should not be reserved for big businesses. A salon with one chair, a food truck, a small studio, a corner shop, they all have customers who live on their phones.
For too long the choices felt like a custom budget many owners could not plan for, or a generic subscription platform. Launchpad offers another option with a defined model, customer-specific design variations, and an agreed project scope.
“I'm genuinely excited to roll these out. I call them our budget babies: small price, big personality, and every one of them ready to go to work for a business that's earned it.”
We are at the beginning. The Launchpad storefront is open, and each available App Design Model is shown for customer review. We are not going to pretend there is a long list of finished customers behind it. When there are real apps and owners to show you, we will tell their stories here.
If you have been waiting for the right moment to get your business onto your customers' phones, this might be it.
Browse the Starter Apps, see how they work, and start when you are ready.
